Politicians, lacking investment expertise, gambled billions of taxpayer euros on an overhyped company without proper due diligence. The unraveling of Northvolt exposes the dangers of political hubris and underscores the risks of mixing public funds with unvetted ventures. It serves as a cautionary tale about the perils of prioritizing optics over sound economic judgment.
